FAQs

How do I edit my stall?
  1. Visit https://welcome.studentsunionucl.org/admin/content/fair/my-stalls
  2. It should ask you to log in, either with your UCL account if you're staff/student, or with your 'local' account.
  3. When you are logged in, you should see a list of stalls you have access to. If you are redirected to the homepage directly, visit https://welcome.studentsunionucl.org/admin/content/fair/my-stalls again.
  4. If there are no stalls listed, see "Don't have access to a stall?" below.
  5. Click ‘edit’ next to the stall to start editing the content.
  6. When editing your stall:
    1. There are tabs down the left hand side with different sets of information you may need to provide.
    2. Each field of data will have some explanatory information to help you know what to put in there.
    3. If the form doesn’t do anything when you click ‘Save’, you have probably not completed a required field. Check each tab to see what has a red asterisk and might be empty.
    4. You may need to change the text format for your description to “Basic HTML” (it’s the dropdown box underneath) to edit it.
  7. To preview your stall, go back to https://welcome.studentsunionucl.org/admin/content/fair/my-stalls and click ‘view’.
Why don't I have access to a stall?

To edit your stall you will need to added as a "stall manager". You should be told by your Union contact when you have been given this access, and the stall should appear but if there are any issues.

  1. General stallholders: contact whoever is organising the fair, your Union contact, or [email protected] if needed
  2. Club/Society presidents and treasurers: contact whoever is organising the fair, your Union contact, or [email protected] if needed
  3. Union staff and officers: contact whoever is organising the fair, your Union contact, or [email protected] if needed
  4. Volunteering organisations: contact [email protected]
How do I answer questions as part of the Live Q&A?

Logged in users can post questions on stall pages if the 'Live Q&A' is enabled (which it is by default).

The questions will show live on the stall page. Questions will only show to the public if they have been answered.

A stall manager would see this, for example:

Those questions would not show to the public until a stall manager has replied. If you don’t want a comment to display on a stall it can either be left there without a reply, or deleted, and it will not show to the public.

To reply, click the 'reply' button, and complete the form:

Select a category and/or a role to allow grouping comments and displaying who answered them. (Roles are only relevant for clubs/societies). Click 'send reply' and the reply will appear. Both the comment and the reply will then be public.

On a practical level, it's advised to have a roster, with one person replying to comments at any one time to avoid any overlap (sadly we can’t currently indicate who’s already answering a question, though the hope is eventually we will be able to).

Can I give someone else access to the stall and the Live Q&A?
  1. Edit your stall
  2. Go to 'Admin' section
  3. Under 'Managers', click 'Add another item', then search the user by their UCL user ID (or, if not UCL, then their site username)
  4. They will be able to edit the stall and answer Q&A questions once they've logged out and logged back in.
