GIZ Biodiversity and Forestry Program (GIZ BFP) would like to invite all interested bidders (Individual appraisers) who are eligible to participate in this open tender, are herewith requested to submit their proposals to “Assessment of timber processing technology at Amhara Forestry Enterprise (AFE)”.

The main tasks of the consultant shall be: 

• Review of raw material provisioning, timber processing and timber sales situation at Amhara Forest Enterprise
• Analyze the current situation against an optimal operation under the current business environment
• Identify and describe the improvements AFE needs to implement to increase productivity and profitability of the AFE sawmill operations.
• Identification and description of possible GIZ project support / intervention options and/or KfW investment options to improve productivity and profitability of AFE sawmills:

How to Apply:

• All bids must be delivered/submitted physically to the address below at or before 4:30 PM on Monday, February 21, 2022. 
• Bidders should submit their Technical and Financial Proposals separately as per the issued tender document.
• The financial offer should list the daily fees charged for this contract in ETB. The technical offer should include the approach taken by the consulting firm and showcase its previous work in the areas listed above and should be a maximum of 10 pages.
• GIZ reserves the right to cancel the bid fully or partially.
