Introduction and Consent

The Questionnaire: This questionnaire will ask participants about their social media habits and engagement in social justice issues. There will be a series of multiply choice and open questions to answer, with additional space for any other comments. Additional focus groups will take place this summer. We ask you to tick whether you a would be willing to take part and a contact for further information.

Confidentiality: Participants will remain anonymous so that you cannot be identified by anyone, even the researcher. Instead, you will be given an identification number on the interviewer’s sheet for reference but that cannot be traced back to you. Some basic information such as your age, gender and ethnicity will be asked for the purpose of demographic diversity. However, submission of these details are all optional, so if you do not want to answer these, just skip them.  

Risks & Benefits: There are no risks to safety, all questions are optional and pose no potential harm. This research will go onto contribute to the wider understanding of youth activism and positive roles of social media- and you will be part of this exciting research.
 
Freedom to Withdraw or Refuse Participation: You have the right to withdraw (pull out of the research) at any time, or to refuse to answer any of the questions without prejudice from the investigator.
