I started Heartless with the expectation of it being a college aged romance but that is not what the book is even though it does start off when the characters are in college.
It is a fast paced, whirlwind of attraction, confessions, miscommunication, fast declarations and some full on dramatic moments (that to me felt like they came out of leftfield). With all this going on it gave off a sense of wham bam thankyou ma'am, and it all happened so fast I didn't have enough time to actually build a connection with Della and Carter. I felt like we just skimmed the surface of who they were and issues were quickly and easily resolved. I would have like a bit more depth.
It was easy to read and I was able to finish in one sitting, it provided light entertainment.

Carter comes from money and is part of the Screw Crew – every woman wants them and every man want to be one of them, although Carter doesn’t do relationships due to believing that every woman will leave like his mother did, giving him the nickname Heartless.
Della works at the local diner while trying to finish college and make a life for her and her family.
When the Screw Crew comes to the diner there is an instant attraction between Della and Carter, although Carter tries to deny it by being mean to her. After coming to Della’s rescue a few time Carter lets her know how he feels only for Della to say that she can’t while she has exams and finishing college, all Della wants to do is give her family a better life.
After exams Della realises that she may never see Carter again she head to he’s hour and has the best moment of her life, until she hears a phone call that has her leaving and returning home, although she doesn’t realise till later the secret she takes home with her.
Four years later they meet again, the chemistry is still there between the two of them but they have secrets and issues to work through before they can get to their happily ever after. You meet the other characters from the Screw Crew and I can’t wait to read their stories.

I love love love this book. When I read the blurb I was a little bit apprehensive about the book as i have read many of these kinds and you either as an author nail it or not. In this case the author nailed it. The book was so good, I could not put it down. I can’t wait to read all the other books to discover what happens with the Screw Crew!! Well done!

First of all- the book description is SO misleading. I almost passed on this book bc of it actually but I’m glad I decided to give it a shot bc it ended up being a nice quick, but enjoyable, read. The description however, yeah. Totally misleading and inaccurate. I would be more annoyed had I decided to read the book based on it.

Second of all- It is RARE I grant a book a full 5 stars. Other than a misleading description though I found absolutely no faults with this book. Characters were all very charming. If not for a handful of steamy-ish scenes, I would even say it is a sweet and clean romance.

Third of all- bully romance this is NOT. If you are looking at this book bc it says enemies to lovers, just know that is misleading as well. The dude is just a bit of a jerk a few times in the beginning. This is a quick read so there’s not a lot of depth into each character so whatever was so “heartless” about him is never truly brought to light. Definitely nothing heartless about this man.

Michelle has done it again, written a book that you will absolutely fall in love with and become immediately addicted too. Loved all the characters in this book they were completely lovable and ones you become hooked on.

I really enjoyed the premise of the Screw Crew, the tightknit group of 5 guys who had a strong bond like family, they come across as complete manwhores but really they have a heart of gold for anyone that gets past that security circle around them.

Carter Hayes, a member of the Screw Crew, is nicknamed Heartless as he has shown himself quite ruthless when going after people he sees as having wronged his brothers. Unfortunately he has now set his heartless sights and mean barbs in Della's direction as he cant help but admit that he actually likes her at first.

Of course as communication between Della and Carter is absolutely awful they end up parting ways after the best night of their lives because of misunderstandings and events beyond their controls.

Fast forward to their unexpected reunion 4 years later where truths are revealed, and their attraction and chemistry is still there, sizzling between them waiting to explode. They have 4 years to catch up on and make up for.

I loved all the boys in the Screw Crew so I am looking forward to each of their stories, especially Logan and Rhett's
