Loren Redmond, Head of programme management, Sellafield Ltd

Loren Redmond has worked within the Nuclear Industry for 17 years, previously working as a project manager on various projects at Sellafield Ltd. For the past 5 years she has worked as a programme manager on a variety of nuclear Programmes and now is head of the programme management capability at Sellafield Ltd where she sets the standards and processes for programme delivery, manages the programme community, develops the training and educational requirements for programme professionals as well as acting as main SME within the programme profession. Loren played a pivotal role within Sellafield Ltd in establishing the Sellafield Project Academy and Project Management Apprenticeship Scheme. She is member of APM, holds a MSc in Project Management and BA(Hons) in International Management and German.

Presenting the programme arrangements within Sellafield Ltd and how this has evolved over the past years and focusing more predominately on how Sellafield Ltd are maturing and developing programme professionals to ensure there are the right people delivering the expanding portfolio, programme and projects demand. This presentation will focus on the roles, competency and career path routes within programme and the maturing of the profession to ensure that programme professionals are proud to deliver within Sellafield Ltd and the relationships created between other supporting professions such as operations, engineering and project management in mobilising the right people into programme roles to support future missions.
