Our Do Some Good initiative has been running for a number of years now. We make donations to a number of different charities in return for customers sending us photos of their new garden furniture in situ. In 2020 we set ourselves a target of donating 10% of our net profit to our chosen charity partners. However, to hit that target, and with summer but a distant memory, we needed to make a few final donations towards the end of the year. Spread a little Christmas cheer if you will. We haven’t supported the British Heart Foundation before directly, so the team and I decided to send them a large donation of 150 chairs and 33 tables. Covid-19 has hit the BHF’s ability to raise funds, the Lazy Susan team and I felt this garden furniture would be perfect for them to sell in their shops. It’s a great way for us to support the wonderful work they do.
Working with the British Heart Foundation has been rewarding both professionally and personally. Claire's provides seasonal stock to BHF twice a year. The service we receive from their staff is outstanding. Their office teams work closely with us on a collection timetable, and then their volunteer teams visit our stores to pull together the collections. Because the BHF staff and volunteers are so helpful, it makes the whole process efficient and simple, and it even gives our teams some light relief in our stockrooms! Claire's chose BHF as they rely entirely on donations to fund life-changing and life-saving research, and we take pride in knowing that our accessories have contributed to this worthwhile cause.
