School Attendance – Early Help and Legal Processes Training – making schools and academies aware of school attendance processes and how to instigate early help and legal procedures in order to tackle ongoing absence.

Description

This training session will ensure all staff who have responsibility for school attendance have an understanding of good practice in relation to supporting children who are regularly absent from school, and can implement legal procedures in order to tackle ongoing unauthorised absence

By the end of the session you will understand:
  • How, why & when we take legal action
  • Early help
  • How to use ‘FAST-track to Attendance’
  • Recording actions taken to meet the requirements of evidence in prosecutions
  • Leave in Term Time (Legal) process
  • Legal interventions and outcomes
