About the Journal

Bridge: Trends and Traditions in Translation and Interpreting Studies is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access, international online journal, published bi-annually by the Department of Translation Studies, Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia. The journal seeks original, previously unpublished papers in translation and interpreting studies that bring together scholarship from diverse regions, traditions and contexts. Bridge encourages authors to challenge the boundaries between theory and practice and old and new approaches in research and training as well as to critically address regional and global social, political and economic issues from a translational point of view.

Since September 2021 the journal is included in ERIH PLUS database.

Bridge is one of the founding members of the Council of Editors of Translation & Interpreting Studies for Open Science, respecting and applying the principles and strategies of open-science and open research evaluation.
