Who we are
Alpha Care Specialists is a registered Charity based in the London Borough of Enfield and has been in operation for over 20 years (Formally GGCCE) it has become an asset to its community, working with mainstream services to inform, advise, represent and influence provision. We always aim to increase our capacity to deliver more services and are proud to say that we have acquired national quality standards.
Alpha Care provides the following opportunities and services in the local community;
Our Hotworks Café is for people seeking help and support to recover from drug and alcohol addiction, and for those with dependencies on benefits and other welfare support. Our café is a safe environment to relax with positive peers and share your problems and recovery experiences.
Our Counselling service is confidential and offered in both English and Greek.
We provide a Home from Hospital Service. This free service is for people living in the Borough of Enfield who are leaving hospital and require some extra help and support:
We can help with:
· light household tasks
· basic food preparation
· medication collection
· shopping for essential items
Care planning and Domiciliary Care
We recognise that everybody’s needs are different, so the service we provide is tailored to our client's needs. Our trained staff can provide a range of services to suit individuals needs and
our personal care assistant will work with our service users to help them to achieve their personal goals.
We employ an ICan Navigator who can offer extra support to people who have been diagnosed with diabetes or dementia, had a stroke or fall. This is a free, impartial and confidential service which aims to improve the well-being of adults over the age of 18 living in Enfield.
We are registered as a publishing company and always publish results from our research so that you know your community in facts and figures. We constantly research issues facing our community and have published our findings on subjects including elderly with mental health problems, substance misuse and more.
We provide partenership work with Enfield Council, Age UK, Mind in Enfield amongst others.
