Mental Health Awareness Week 2022 - Leaders Podcast

This podcast series is brought to you by North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships and Stigma Free Lanarkshire.

As we kick off Mental Health Awareness Week 2022, the world has gone through an unprecedented two years of a global pandemic.

We reflect on the impact of those experiences on our mental health, whether it be lockdown, grief, loss, fear, uncertainty or the cost of living.

The theme for Mental Health Awareness week is Loneliness.

Longer term loneliness can lead to mental health problems such as depression and anxiety.

Mental health stigma (including the perceptions we have of ourselves) can prevent people from seeking help at a time when they need it most.

In our Leaders Podcast Series, we’re looking at how we create the conditions for a mentally healthy Lanarkshire through recovery from the pandemic.
