About this event

We are excited to announce our next outdoor event, which will be a walk around the ancient woodland of Ebernoe Common, led by the President of the Sussex Wildlife Trust, Dr. Tony Whitbread. The walk will focus on the ecology of ancient woodland, looking at the important ancient wood pasture, some of the ancient woodland indicators here, and we'll try and spot some wildlife too.

The walk will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, and Ebernoe Common will be very wet, so we strongly advise to wear wellies or waterproof shoes.

There will be 20 spaces available. We will meet at the Holy Trinity Church Car Park, Ebernoe for a 10:00 AM start. Please car-share wherever possible to help reduce the carbon footprint of the event.

The walk will not be suitable for children under 10 and children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. Please note dogs are not permitted on this walk.
