About this event

A healthy mind helps us to cope better with the unexpected and is important to our mental health and wellbeing. Getting mind ready will help us manage our stress and anxiety levels if, or when, the unpredictable happens. But what are the challenges that we are faced with?

The end of lockdown can be just as daunting as it was at the very beginning. There was fear of the unknown: what to expect, how long it would last, and the consequences of the COVID-19 virus. For some, it took time to get used to the idea of not being able to go about business as usual and the reverse will be just as difficult to cope with. It is important to remember that feelings of fear and anxiety about loved ones such as families and friends are normal and that they can be overcome by building tolerance at a pace that is comfortable. Talk to others, share experiences and do not spend emotional energy on other people’s behaviours. Instead, concentrate on what is happening within your home such as looking after your children and families, your responsibilities such as financial support and how this could change, whether you have job losses to mix into the equation, the state of your relationship with a partner and others, and possibly grief that you may have experienced.

Join the webinar to learn more about keeping mentally fit and how you can build stamina and patience for your wellbeing throughout the COVID pandemic.
