About this event

We would like to invite you to join this webinar organised by the SACT dataset team at PHE in collaboration with Professor Peter Clark, CDF Clinical Lead at NHS England.

This presentation will focus on the Cancer Drugs Fund and aims to answer questions raised by clinical staff. Members of the wider multidisciplinary team are welcome to join, however we will be running a second CDF webinar for a wider audience in the coming months.

The webinar will demonstrate how SACT data collected by trusts, in particular patient outcomes, are used by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to determine whether innovative new cancer drugs currently funded in the CDF are clinically and cost effective and should therefore be made available through routine commissioning. In particular, we will discuss the case of Obinutuzumab with bendamustine, as an illustration of SACT data analysis.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions directly to Professor Clark and the PHE SACT dataset team.

The webinar will take place on Thursday 8th October 2020 1pm-1.30pm and will include time for questions.

Registration will close on Monday 5th October 2020 at 1pm.

We hope this will be an informative webinar for all clinical staff. Please share this invitation to any interested colleagues. The webinar will be hosted on Microsoft Teams and details of how to join will be shared 48 hours before the event.

If you have any questions, please contact either Hayley.Perry@phe.gov.uk or Claire.Joussot@phe.gov.uk
