Local Authority led information sessions about the implications of the Spring Budget 2023 and information received from the DfE to date.

As part of the Spring Budget 2023 the government announced a significant expansion to funded childcare phased in from April 2024. The expansion is significant for parents but also has implications for childcare providers and the Local Authority. Due to the significance of the expanded offer and the implications for providers and the LA we will be holding a number of information sharing sessions for providers to attend.
The aim of the sessions is to:
• Share what information we have received from DfE to date
• Share information/intelligence the LA have collected to date
• Opportunity for providers to share their initial thoughts with other providers and the LA – steered by a number of questions included in the
session
• Information from the sessions will help the LA and providers shape delivery of the expanded offer moving forward.
