About this event

The impact of COVID-19 and the lockdown have placed great demands on social work and social care practitioners while the limitations of online home visits and online meetings have increased practitioners’ professional anxiety. This is made more complex by digital stress and emotional fatigue associated with extended screen time. Therefore, reflecting on practitioners’ digital routines and the impact of the lockdown on practitioners’ mental health, this webinar examines challenges, opportunities and approaches for self-care and achieving better digital and emotional wellbeing.

Guest speakers: Dr. Peter Buzzi (PSW National Research Lead), Claudia Megele (Chair of the PSW network for children and families), and Donna Gilfillan (Child Protection Manager)

Chair: Dr Michael Sanders, Chief Executive, What Works for Children's Social Care
