About this event

COVID-19 has shown that social workers and social care practitioners can use social media and digital technologies in powerful ways to keep in touch and support children and families. However, there are many ethical and practical challenges and limitations to online connections and communications. Therefore, this Webinar examines new and emerging online risks and harm as well as digital resilience and how these can be assessed and used to enhance relationship-based practice and safeguard children and young people online. The webinar will also consider both the lockdown and the easing of the lockdown and its implications for safeguarding children and families online.

Guest speakers: Dr. Peter Buzzi (PSW National Research Lead), Claudia Megele (Chair of the PSW network for children and families) and more

Chair: Dr Michael Sanders, Chief Executive, What Works for Children's Social Care
