Our award-winning start-up course is back for 2022 and it’s Time for Action!
Whether you’re looking to develop start-up ideas, make it as a freelancer, grow your own business or social enterprise, Summer Start-up Week has something for everyone. Our mission is clear – to support students, graduates and under 25’s in Wales to take action and get their ideas off the ground!
Delivered by some of the brightest entrepreneurs and experts in Wales, our 5-day online course will help you nurture, develop and grow your business. With a mix of interactive workshops, panel discussions and live Q&As, covering everything from research and marketing to cashflow and funding, we’ll give you the key elements needed for a successful business, freelance career or social enterprise.
You’ll develop an action plan, be supported with mentoring, and following the course, will have access to a range of quick-start guides, videos and talks, to help bring your ideas to life.
The event is free to attend for those studying or have studied at a Welsh College, University or Sixth Form and will be live streamed directly to you from the comfort of your own home.
As part of the Welsh Government’s Young Person’s Guarantee, this event is also open to under 25’s in Wales who are Not in Employment, Education or Training.

Summer Start up Week and your institution will be the Data Controller for the personal data you provide. The data will be processed in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
This privacy notice explains how your personal data will be processed fairly and lawfully and in a transparent manner. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our privacy practices.
When you sign up online with Summer Start Up Week, we will use the information you provide to deliver the information and help highlighted as you sign up. This includes sending you emails, links to online resources and networking events, direct mail relevant to starting a business and sending you guides.
We process your data in line with the official authority vested in Welsh Government to support youth entrepreneurship in line with the national strategy Prosperity for All: The Economic Action Plan.
Your data will be processed by your institution and the Welsh Government and service providers who deliver Big Ideas Wales support on behalf of the Welsh Government. The data will be retained for 10 years after the duration of Summer Start up Week.
Your rights

• Access to the Personal data that we are processing about you;
• Require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data;
• The right (in certain circumstances) to object to or restrict processing;;
• The right (in certain circumstances) for your data to be ‘erased’;

P'un a ydych am ddatblygu syniadau ar gyfer sefydlu busnes newydd, llwyddo yn y byd llawrydd, neu ddatblygu eich busnes neu fenter gymdeithasol eich hun, mae gan Wythnos Cychwyn Busnes yr Haf rywbeth i bawb. Mae ein cenhadaeth yn glir – cefnogi myfyrwyr, graddedigion a phobl dan 25 oed yng Nghymru i weithredu a rhoi eu syniadau ar waith!
Cyflwynir ein cwrs ar-lein 5 diwrnod gan rai o’r entrepreneuriaid a’r arbenigwyr mwyaf disglair yng Nghymru, a bydd yn eich helpu i feithrin, datblygu a thyfu eich busnes. Gyda chyfuniad o weithdai rhyngweithiol, trafodaethau panel a sesiynau holi ac ateb gan gynnwys popeth o ymchwil a marchnata i lif arian a chyllid, byddwn yn rhoi'r elfennau allweddol sydd eu hangen arnoch i ddechrau busnes, gyrfa lawrydd neu fenter gymdeithasol lwyddiannus.
Byddwch yn datblygu cynllun gweithredu ac yn cael cefnogaeth fentora. Yna, ar ôl y cwrs, bydd ystod o ganllawiau, fideos a sgyrsiau cryno ar gael i chi ynglŷn â chychwyn busnes i’ch helpu i ddod â'ch syniadau yn fyw.
Mae’r digwyddiad yn rhad ac am ddim i’r rhai sy’n astudio neu sydd wedi astudio mewn Coleg, Prifysgol neu chweched dosbarth yng Nghymru a chaiff ei ffrydio’n fyw yn uniongyrchol atoch yng nghysur eich cartref eich hun.
Fel rhan o Warant Pobl Ifanc Llywodraeth Cymru, mae’r digwyddiad hwn hefyd yn agored i rai dan 25 oed yng Nghymru nad ydynt mewn cyflogaeth, addysg na hyfforddiant.
