The meeting 9.00 am – 16.15 pm Wednesday 18th March 2020

The venue - The meeting will be held in the Penthouse Suite, Collingwood College, South Road, Durham DH1 3LT.

Getting there –

By road: Durham city centre is only two miles from the A1(M). Leave the motorway at Junction 62 on the A690 Durham - Sunderland road and follow signs to Durham City Centre.

By public transport: There are direct train links from most major centres in the country including London King's Cross, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Reading.

A taxi will take you from the station to the College in about 5 minutes, or its about a 30 minute walk. Go North East Bus 40B runs every 30 mins from the train station to the main Mountjoy campus between 8 and 9.30 am, Collingwood College is a 10 minute walk from Lower Mountjoy. Arriva Bus Route 6 runs from the Bus Station to just outside the college.

By air: Durham is 30 minutes' drive from Newcastle Airport and about 40 minutes from Durham Tees Valley. Durham is linked to Newcastle Airport by rail and metro. Travellers into Durham Tees Valley can take advantage of the free Sky Express bus service that links the airport to Darlington railway station, with regular connections to Durham.

Please note – there is only limitted parking available at Collingwood College (names must be left with reception) however Howlands Park and Ride is only a short work from campus.

Registration and Meeting costs

• To attend the UCSF meeting on 18th March 2020 only: £35

• To attend the networking evening on 17th March 2020: £25

Registration is open to all members of UCSF and subscribers to CHEMSAFNET. By registering you are agreeing to respect the anonymity of any information on incidents received through the meeting: there can be no attribution to the institution, people involved or reporting the information (this does not apply if the information is freely available, or if the person speaking agrees to attribution.

Non-members of UCSF & CHEMSAFNET but who are members of partner organisations USHA & ISTR can also attend by agreeing to the anonymity described above.

The evening before: Networking Event

There will be a meal on Tuesday 17th March at Bills Restaurant.

If you are staying overnight then please come along, it is excellent way to get to know other members of UCSF. Please book early, as places are limited.
