EU side events COP26 Saturday 6/11 - Brussels

NB: The schedule is related to the Glasgow time zone. To convert it to the Brussels time zone, add 1 hour. For example: 09:00 in Glasgow equals 10:00 in Brussels.

NB2: please note that on-site access will be subject to the Covid Safe Ticket. We strongly advise you to obtain it at least the day before the event. Without a valid Covid Safe Ticket, access to the event will unfortunately not be allowed.

The European Union, as in previous years, is providing a space for side events during COP26 seeking to stimulate the debate on key thematic areas, facilitating dialogue with Party delegates and other participants, as well as launching new initiatives and partnerships and showcasing inspiring and successful projects or policies.

This year, the EU programme will include physical side events in Glasgow and in a studio in Brussels as well as virtual side events. All events will be accessible through an online platform to reach out to broader audiences around the globe and allow enhanced virtual participation.

The event will take place at nhow Brussels Bloom. Please enter the hotel 15 minutes before the start of the conference.

COVID-19 Guidelines

Under regulations from the Brussels-capital region, please note that on-site access will be subject to a Covid Safe Ticket. You will need to show a digital proof of your health status to access the event:

- Proof of vaccination by the four approved vaccines in the EU, at least 15 days after the second dose.

- A negative PCR test made within the last 48 hours or an antigen test made within the last 24 hours.

- A certificate of recovery valid from 11 days after the date of the first positive PCR test to 180 days after the date of the first positive test.

If you don’t have the Covid Safe Ticket yet, you can get it via an official app called CovidSafe that can be downloaded on your cellphone on this link or via the websites masanté.be or mijngezondheid.be.
