    EY Reconnect, is a program for career returners who have had an extended break from the world of work and are now looking for a bridge to connect you back to your previous career, experience and knowledge within business. Whether you have taken time out for caring reasons, relocation, or other personal commitments, whatever the reason, we are here to support your transition back to work.

  • Career Trackers

    Our Indigenous Vacationer and Graduate Programs are open for applications year-round. Through these programs, participants will partner with an Indigenous mentor, connect with other Indigenous people in office and across the country while gaining valuable experience, skills and networks.

    We also offer paid, multi-year internships through our partnership with CareerTrackers, a national purpose-driven organisation that supports pre-professional Indigenous university students.

  • CareerSeekers

    CareerSeekers is a non-profit organisation supporting Australia’s humanitarian entrants into professional careers. We are proud to partner with CareerSeekers to offer paid internships for university students who are asylum seekers or refugees.

  • Australian Network on Disability Stepping Into Internship program

    EY is proud to have Silver membership with the Australian Network on Disability (AND). EY offers internships for university students with lived experience of disability through AND’S Stepping Into Program.

  • Autism employment programs

    SwitchedOn

    EY Australia collaborated with the University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre on a pilot autism employment program that contributed to first of its kind Australian research. Interns joined a range of EY teams for a 12-week supported workplace program. We are looking to run the next program in late 2023.

    EY Data & Analytics and Specialisterne

    EY Data & Analytics within the Consulting Service Line have collaborated with Specialisterne to provide internship opportunities to autistic individuals with a passion for data analytics.

EY Ripples

EY Ripples is EY’s global corporate responsibility program that empowers EY people to use their knowledge, skills and experience to positively impact lives in the communities where we live and work. With a bold ambition to positively impact one billion lives globally by 2030, EY Ripples is focused on harnessing the power of our people and networks in three areas of focus:

  • Supporting the next generation workforce. Supporting young and underserved people to develop the mindsets and transferable skills they need most to find and sustain meaningful work.
  • Working with impact entrepreneurs. Helping scale small and growing businesses that purposefully drive progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Accelerating environmental sustainability. Driving the adoption of behaviours, technologies and business models that protect and regenerate the environment while unlocking economic opportunity.

Through EY Ripples there are opportunities for EY people to support a diverse range of individuals and organisations who are working to address social disadvantage and equity.

Examples of organisations we have supported or collaborated with include the following.

  • Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN)

    ABCN is a purpose-led not-for-profit organisation that brings businesses and schools together to address educational disadvantage. They connect volunteers from member companies (businesses) with students from low socio-economic backgrounds to provide fun, workplace-based mentoring programs that develop students’ confidence, skills and aspirations vital for thriving in the workplace of the future. This includes the Focus program, focused on supporting young women to develop leadership skills, confidence and aspirations.

  • Ngarrimili

    Ngarrimili is an organisation which nurtures and supports business and entrepreneurship opportunities among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Victoria. In 2022 EY collaborated with Ngarrimili to develop a series of five business clinics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs at the start-up or concept stage. These business clinics covered business development, accessing government support, customer research, company structures and good business finance practice.

  • She Starts Out

    EY developed and launched the She Starts Out program in 2021, a business mentoring program aimed at social impact entrepreneurs in Australia and New Zealand who identify as LGBTQ women or non-binary people. The program was designed to create a space for these entrepreneurs to flourish and grow, through a series of EY business clinics specifically tailored for social impact businesses, as well as access to an EY business mentors for guidance and support. After a successful 2021 program, She Starts Out was delivered again in 2022.

  • Fitted for Work

    Fitted for Work helps Australian women experiencing disadvantage to get work, keep work and strive at work. Their clients include: Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) women, women with a disability and women experiencing homelessness. In 2022 EY volunteers hosted careers workshops to help provide Fitted for Work clients with practical skills, knowledge, self-esteem and know-how so that they can move forward with confidence in the workplace.

  • She’s A Crowd

    She’s A Crowd is a feminist tech start-up using the power of storytelling to make cities safer for women. This social enterprise crowd sources data on gender-based violence and uses the insights to work with governments and other agencies and organisations to improve safety. As part of the Scaling Impact program by Social Impact Hub, EY people provided data strategy and outcomes measurement pro bono consulting services to help She’s A Crowd.

  • Ardoch Foundation

    Ardoch is a children’s education charity focused on improving educational outcomes for children and young people in disadvantaged communities. One of the programs EY have collaborated on is the Literacy Buddies program. Literacy Buddies aims to support students with a positive adult, working role model so that students can develop their writing skills and relationships by communicating in writing during the year. The program includes two visits: Big Buddies visit the school and Little Buddies visit the EY workplace.

  • Western Chances

    Western Chances is a not-for-profit organisation in Melbourne’s west which supports young people facing financial barriers to achieve their potential through scholarships, opportunity programs and ongoing support. Each year since 2019, EY volunteer mentors have providing 1:1 coaching to support the Western Chances’ scholarship recipients as they completed their post-school education and training journeys.

  • AMES

    AMES Australia is a not-for-profit organisation which supports asylum seekers, refugees, newly arrived migrants and skilled professionals. AMES helps them realise their dream of building a new and better life in Australia, settling safely, finding work and being welcomed into their local community. Beginning in 2022 and continuing in 2023 EY volunteers have supported AMES’ clients’ efforts to find meaningful work by offering mock interviews, CV writing support and career planning panels.
