4 “Tonight I'm gonna dance for you” Stars
First things first....
Still don't feel better but getting there.That ending!! July fucking 7th that's how long we have to wait for the second one. I still don't now where Ms.Valentine is going with this but man, this shit is AWESOME!!
Since the age of 18 both of Joe's parents have died. So to pay for college and everything she works as a striper.
Being a stripper is not her life dream but life's not free. This isn't no fairytale, life's not fair we just have to learn to deal with it.
Fairy tales don’t come true. At least, not for people like me.
For several months she created this "relationship" with this mystery man. They don't know anything about each other, not even their names. They just fuck then leave.
Well what happens when your "mystery man" turns out to be your teacher?

This book was really good. It would make you question if you're even reading the same damn book because of the ending. That ending man...Bullshit!. I don't have the patient to wait for ever for the second book. I'm really excited to see where the author will take this book.

If you like books with twists and turns that has your mind reeling then this book is for you!! FUCK ME!! I am still freaking confused!! *Bangs head on desk* Yeah na that didn't help!! GAH!!

I was debating about what to rate this (it was a toss up between 4 and 5), but that cliffy, and that twist at the end blindsided me and because I never saw any of that coming at me full speed that deserves my 5 stars!!
This book had me gasping and spinning like a whore on coke!!
Just when I thought I had a handle on the story the ending and that cliff hanger sent me over the edge!! That was brilliant!! COME ON JULY I'm dying here I needs/wants/that next book!! Gah!!

Josephine "aka" Joe is a head strong, independent, feisty college student who has a secret job as a "stripper" which she keeps even from her best friend Annie, during her stints up on stage she attracts the attention of a specific man who watches from the shadows and who she ultimately hooks up with on numerous occasions..
Being a stripper wasn't my life's ambition, but this job is the key to my survival, taking my clothes off means the difference between paying the bills and living on the streets.
I feel HIM, Joe had noticed him 5 months ago when she first started stripping, he'd always stick to the shadows, vacate the same seat every time, hidden in darkness..
SEX IS ALL THAT CONNECTS US
Sex with my mystery man is never nice, it's hard, fast, and sometimes it leaves marks. Yes my mystery man is a "Dirty Boy" and I love it.
My reviews are generally ALWAYS without spoilers so I'm going to leave my review there, but I swear to you this book towards the end will have you reeling, you will question EVERYTHING you just read..

Dance for Me introduces us to Josephine “Joe” who is a college student paying her way on her own through any means necessary. Her line of work brings her face to face with a mysterious stranger who want a strictly sexual relationship; no names, no relationship... just sex. Joe is in for a very rude awakening when her two lives cross paths and she’s face to face with the same mysterious face; but in a new reality where everything she thought she wanted might just be a possibility...
I am not sure if I fully felt a connection with any of the characters although I find myself feeling slightly sympathetic towards Brody who gets cast off pretty easily and he seems like a really great guy... Crossing my fingers that Brody will play a bigger role in the next two books or maybe get a book of his own (hint hint). Joe was lacking a bit for me personally. She had experienced great tragedy, but it wasn’t played upon in a way that made me feel for her – so that I could carry those feelings onto her current situation; it made me question her reactions more than I think I should have. As for the mystery guy...yeah not giving up a name... Hot and Cold... all the way. I think I liked the domineering/jerk aspect more than the sweet – but at the same time, the callousness was not winning out when the other times had me feeling a slight flutter of butterflies. I know this probably makes no sense, and it really can’t – without giving anything away... and I won’t do that.
So overall, I liked this story – although the twist was a little predictable. I found myself pretty early on considering the way this story was going to go and then it hit me that I was off base, regrouped and figured it out with plenty of time to spare – but oddly that did not diminish the impact of the ending. I think the fun in this wasn’t the reveal of the twist – but what the reactions will be to the twist. Joe disappointed me in her initial reaction; it was like – seriously? You’re not catching on... YET????!!!!
In the end this was a solid read that I enjoyed. I have a feeling that we’ll get a bunch of angst in book two though, looking so forward to it! This was great build up to the trilogy that set the scene for book two and three – I really wished I connected more with these characters but hopefully this laid the groundwork for that to happen in book two. I hope to see a bit of vulnerability with Joe stemming from her past as she deals with her present as well. And although not all the marks were hit for me with this one, I am hooked enough with the theme & story to want to read more!

while I was reading this! And I sure as hell felt the words!
Damn this was FANTASTIC I am beyond words right now and can not
wipe the cheesy ass grin off my face! Again, this is why I love reading... DID NOT SEE IT COMING!

Oh damn "Mystery Man " is off the charts HOT! He hides in the shadows of the club, but Josephine Hart knows he's there.
She feels him. One evening he gives her his business card and from that point on they meet up occasionally
for some wild f*****g if ya get me. It's best they don't know each others name, where they live. Absolutely nothing.

Until one day, unintentionally they meet for real and that serves as a problem given the circumstances. This becomes a forbidden situation.
Oh, I've had him all right. He's screwed me every way
from Sunday. God, what a mess.

Joe continues to get mixed signals from mystery man and doesn't know what to think. First he wants to end it, then he can't get her clothes off fast enough. Oh my God... just thinking about him drives me nuts! I can't say much because it's another story that takes you on one exciting ride to the next. He is moody, dangerous, sexy, and extremely territorial. Exactly the kind of man I want in my books, and this storyline... another love of mine! So naturally, I behaved sort of like this~

" Dance with Me", was an incredible read!
In this first book of the Forbidden Trilogy we are introduced to Josephine(Joe) a young women who by the time she reaches the age of eighteen finds herself alone in this world , both parents gone and having to fend for herself.
Joe has had to make choices in the her life but she is not ashamed of those choices, to pay bills and for school she works as a stripper and keeps her private life separate,Joe does not fraternize with her co -workers or customers.
Well most customers ; one intense, hot ,sexy customer is the exception to the rule, she can feel his eyes on her every time he comes to watch. These two embark on a sex only relationship, no names , no info sharing , strictly sex! Extremely hot sex !
Anonymity worked for her. So what happens when you attend your last art class that is required on the first day of class and you come face to face with the man who you just recently had incredible sex with !
Luckily , Professor Ransom Scott is great and not showing a reaction ,but if you are Joe , your bets freind has to remind you to pick your chin off the floor and as luck would have it she just thinks you are awe struck by the professors looks.
The two continue their sex only relationship , but it bothers Joe that Ransom can keep it so separate , so boxed and not be affected the way she is when she sees him in class, she proceeds to push his buttons and encourage him , when what would be best for her and his career is to continue to keep it separate. However the attraction between them grows and Ransom is in her bed almost every night ; but his moods are like night and day between the nights he shares in her bed and when he visits the club to see her.
The more time she spends with Ransom the more she wants .
"Dance with Me", absolutely worth the read, the best story I have read from Ms Valentine yet, they all have been good ! Do not be scared off by the cliffhanger ,the plot twist and turns are well worth the cliffy!

Working off to pay her tuition Jo Hart works as a stripper and does the occasional private dance , but for one customer she goes the extra mile each week and in a dark room , they go at it like bunnies and get into some hot and heavy roleplay. She has only heard his voice and seen him in a semi-light. The next scene switches over to her and she is running late to class, she arrives and then her professor turns around and their eyes met and they are both stunned as he is her client from the club - this part of the story reminded me a little bit of the Ezra Fitz and Aria Montgomery meeting in the Pretty Little Liars series where they hook up in the club and the next day, she is sitting in class waiting for their new English teacher which turns out to be none other than Mr. Ezra Fitz. As the story progresses along , we read as her two lives still continue in and out of the club and the relationship with the teacher continues even when he brings another date to the club for some wholesome action and viewing. What will happen though when Jo gets the shock and readers get the twist of a lifetime as we read the last chapter and new characters are revealed as well as answers that make readers understand the male characters personality throughout the novel.
If you love erotic romance , teacher/student relationships and stripping , then the Forbidden Trilogy is the series for you. I will finish though on the note that this book ends in a cliffhanger, so if you are not one for those type of endings - it may to hold till the rest of the trilogy is published before reading the book.

OMG!!! This book is AMAZEBALLS!!!!!!
It draws you in from the first chapter and the POV of Joe is well written, engaging, you are right with her throughout the book and her character sings from the pages, there wasn't anything about her character that I could criticise.
This is a great read and it just keeps to an amazing pace throughout the read.
Im not going to divulge anything about the storyline of this book, except to mention the book is centred around Josephine and Ransom and their on/off relationship/sexual arrangement.
Its a hot and steamy read and there are some great scenes in this book.
This book has the something 'more' that I look for in a five star read and I'm still reeling from the stinker of an ending to this book, and it definitely fits into the "throw my kindle' category.
All in all this book is brilliant. It literally took my breath away.

Dance for Me by J.C. Valentine is book One in the Forbidden series. This is the story of Josephine “Joe” Hart and Professor Ransom Scott. Josephine is a college student paying her way on her own through any means necessary. Her type of job ends up bringing her face to face with a mysterious man who wants a strictly sexual relationship; no names, no relationship---just sex. Her private life and her college life ends up mixing up when she is in class and the mysterious man from her past makes an appearance and he happens to be Professor Ransom Scott. On the first day of class and she comes face to face with the man who she just recently had incredible sex with!!! The two continue their sex only relationship, but it bothers Joe that Ransom can keep their professional and personal relationships so separate , so impersonal. That he treats her so impersonal in class and doesn’t even seem bothered by her in class or fazed by her at all. However the attraction between them grows the chemistry between them sizzles. Ransom is in her bed almost every night ; but his moods are like night and day between the nights he shares in her bed and when he visits the club to see her. There is so much going on in this story and the epic cliffhanger has me dying to find out what happens in book 2. Joe and Ransom’s story is full of angst, passion, intensity, drama and sexual tension. I look forward to finding out what happens in the next book by Ms. Valentine.

So this story is going to be in three parts so YES, cliffhanger! AND, the cover alone should tell you to buckle your seat-belts and hold on REAL TIGHT cuz this is gonna be a RIDE!
Dance for Me gives you an introduction to Joe ~ strong, independent, college student doing the best she can to make something of herself with the lemons life has provided for her and our hero, Ransom ~ domineering, aggressive, controlling aaaaaand one of her professors!
Joe is paying for her education by stripping. It's a good paying job and she's not ashamed. This is how she meets 'The Mystery Man' .... you see, there were not supposed to be any names in this relationship. No feelings. No sharing. Just sex sex sex :) lol .... But then she went to her first class and she puts a face to her mystery man ... her new professor! So the rules change and they change really quick. They try to fight their attraction but chemistry has another plan for them! They absolutely sizzle off the pages. They are like static electricity together ~~~ zap zap zap zap! It's HOT!

Dance For Me
He was mysterious, domineering, aggressive, brusque and he set a very limited parameters as to her role in his life.
She was a strong and intelligent girl who was willing to do everything to change the course of her life. She tried to keep the two sides of her world separate, but they eventually collided in the worst way possible because he became part of those two worlds. The careful balance she tried to maintain in her life shattered, and she could not see a good ending for her, yet she couldn't stop craving for more of him either.
When he unintentionally invaded both of her worlds, she discovered a softer, more charming side of him but that only confused her even more. Where he only used to make her feel delirious with desire, he started making her smile. Where he used to only stir eroticthoughts, she now felt peace. She used to know where she stood in his life and the line she shouldn't cross, but the gentle side of him threw her off balance. Lines were blurred and hopes sparked. She realized one sad truth. This was the only man who had the power to hurt her. But she was like a moth to his flame, unable to stay away.
There was so much more to the story than just a couple wading in the unsettling complications of their relationship. You will find yourself asking questions and making assumptions along the way. I was specifically vague for a reason. You need to just take the plunge and prepare to enjoy a great story without knowing too much about it.
Dance For Me ended with a cliffhanger, but don't let it deter you from starting it. I, myself, is a wait-til-its-complete kind of reader, but every once in a while I get tempted. This one was a good temptation. I really enjoyed the book and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
He was mysterious, domineering, aggressive, brusque and he set a very limited parameters as to her role in his life.
She was a strong and intelligent girl who was willing to do everything to change the course of her life. She tried to keep the two sides of her world separate, but they eventually collided in the worst way possible because he became part of those two worlds. The careful balance she tried to maintain in her life shattered, and she could not see a good ending for her, yet she couldn't stop craving for more of him either.
When he unintentionally invaded both of her worlds, she discovered a softer, more charming side of him but that only confused her even more. Where he only used to make her feel delirious with desire, he started making her smile. Where he used to only stir eroticthoughts, she now felt peace. She used to know where she stood in his life and the line she shouldn't cross, but the gentle side of him threw her off balance. Lines were blurred and hopes sparked. She realized one sad truth. This was the only man who had the power to hurt her. But she was like a moth to his flame, unable to stay away.
There was so much more to the story than just a couple wading in the unsettling complications of their relationship. You will find yourself asking questions and making assumptions along the way. OMG!!! This book was absolutely amazing. And HOT!!!! And tastefully written.
I don't really care for spoilers so I'll try not to place any in my review.
I loved all of the characters in this book. Joe and Ransom are seriously HOT together. The twist at the end of this book left me with my mouth hanging open. I never seen it coming until the last chapter. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series:-) Hopefully we get more insight on Annie and Jason too because something is seriously up with him, I just haven't figured it out yet. I have an idea but we'll see. And poor Brody. I think by the end of this series he's going to be heartbroken. Hopefully he'll get his own series.

Todo marchaba medianamente bien. Me gustaban Ransom & Joe. La trama de la estudiante stripper y el hombre misterioso me tenía enganchada. Tenía varias teorías y esperaba con popcorn en mano el anunciado cliffhanger. Al final no fue nada de lo que esperaba. Reconozco que estuve pésima recibiendo señales.
Todo puede haber hecho "click" al final, pero yo estoy con la dificultad de creerme que lo que paso pueda ser posible. No se si enojarme por lo absurdo del misterio o felicitar a J.C. WOW!!!!! This book completely drew me in on the first page and I could not put it down until the last page. This book has completely left speechless!! I am going to really try not to say too much and not give any spoilers, but WOW that ending!!!! JC Valentine definitely knows how to write an amazing story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. I cannot wait for the next book. Dance for Me has left absolutely speechless and blown away. It is fast paced, intriguing, captivating, and HOT!!! This is definitely a hot and steamy read that is beautifully written. Is it too soon for a re-read?? Because I will definitely be re-reading very soon.

Dance for me is a very mysterious, sexy, and crazy story. Josephene is a dancer who has grown up to fast. Josephine has experience loss yet she's still a woman thats learning life. She has put herself through school and she's willing to do anything to have the career she wants. While dancing she meets a mysterious, intimidating, and sexy man. This man offers her a sex no strings attached relationship… Joe cant say no him and she decides to play with fire.

I really enjoyed this book. I think Joe is a younger woman trying to have a life, but not everything is easy specially when you're the only one trying to take care of yourself. Joe puts up a front, but she is really broken girl… one that doubts, loves, and is struggling internally.
We all have ways to cope with loss and Joe found a way to cope with hers. I love the direction and the way the author took the story. It sucked me in until i was done and left with WTF just happened face.
I totally recommend this story is fresh, sexy, and you will not see it coming thats for sure.

Dance for Me is the first book in the Forbidden Trilogy and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one, Lie to You, to find out what happens.
Joe has not had it easy, having to grow up way to fast after both her parents passed away. She has had to make some difficult choices in life, but makes no apologies for them since they got her to where she is today.
Stripping isn’t something she ever wanted to get into, but because of it she is able to make it on her own while paying her way through college. It also brought her in contact with her mystery man who is demanding, controlling, and has awoken her body is ways she never knew where possible. The only problem, it was only supposed to be about sex. No names, nothing personal, and definitely no feelings or love.
But everything changes when Joe attends her first class of the semester to find her professor is actually her mystery man and everything is thought she knew about him is about to change. Professor Ransom and Joe try to stay away from one another but things always seem to bring them back together. Unable to deny the crazy chemistry they share anymore, they try to make a go at a relationship. But every time Joe take a step forward, the dominating mystery man she knew from before shows up and forces their relationship two steps back.
I definitely enjoyed the suspense in Dance for Me and couldn’t put it down until the very last page. I did guess the twist about half way through, but that in no way took away from the ending of the book and can’t wait to read the next book in the trilogy.

Josephine Hart didn't have a all hearts and flowers childhood....loosing her Mom at and early age and then years later loosing your Dad to a broken heart is even harder to accept after all you try and try to do. But Joe makes it through some how....pulled her self together, got into college, paying for it in her own and hopefully with this being her Senior year her job will allow her to pay her tuition off when she graduates. But when she is required to take an art class for her major but when she enters the room something hits her like a lighting bolt....could it be ?? No....Yes... Professor Scott is my Mystery Man that hides in the shadows in the corner of my job and when he watches me dance it makes him hungry for me.
But that first day of class does he recognize me ? Does he know who I am ? Will he remember who I am ? One day he is soft and caring and the next day he is tough and mean ? Who is this man that I meet after my shifts ? Definitely not this easy going shy individual that doesn't think a student and professor should be involved or my Mystery Man that hides me too but for some reason I don't know why he hides me.
Can she get through to this man or will Ransom give it all up ? Joe finally finds the sunshine in her grey world or will Ransom be the next person to break her heart or will he want her for who she is not what she does .....
This is a gripping emotional loving story but WOW never saw that coming and I am still sitting in the edge of my chair waiting to see if Joe gets her happy ending ....Cliffhanger....but the best kind that make you wanting more NOW !! Fantastic Job J.C.!!

This book was recommended to me and boy oh boy did she get it right, this is the type of book I love to read. It was filled with off the charts chemistry, a great plot and a HUGE secret, I have to admit that I had two different scenarios going in my mind as to the way things were going to play out and one of them was the right one....not going to tell you though you will have to read it to find out what is going on. We are left with a cliffhanger so I really need to read Lie to You to see what happens next.

Holy. Smokes. This book was seriously hot, angsty, and crazy naughty with an erotic story that will grip you from the first page. This book is an erotic forbidden romance that is full of so many twists and turns with an ending that will have you begging for more. This book while insanely hot also had an intense storyline full of passionate moments and sizzling chemistry.
This is the beginning but definitely not the end of Joe and Ransom's story. Joe is a bright college student with a future ahead of her. While she may be innocent and fun with her friends by day, she has a darker side that comes out at night. She is a stripper. This is where she meets the mysterious Ransom. But their "relationship" is going to change in an instant when she walks into one of her college classes and realizes he is her professor.
Yikes! These two had TONS of chemistry. They burned up my pages between their time in between the sheets ad the sexual tension that simmered around them when they were around each other. I liked Joe. She had a good head on her shoulders and was a lot of fun. And Ransom.... sexy, domineering, alpha, and totally bossy. He is everything you can imagine and more. This is just for the beginning for these two and I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
I highly recommend this book but that ending.... warning!

So, disclaimer first: I've read this trilogy before, back when it was originally published, and absolutely fell in love with it. Now that it's been re-released with new covers and I've been given a chance to review it, I jumped because it's one of my favorites.
In Dance for Me, we've got Joe (Josephine) who is a college student stripping her way through her tuition costs. She starts up a relationship with a mysterious man, Ransom, and it's hot and sexy and seductive, and MYSTERIOUS cuz he's shadowy and all that jazz. Then there's a twist and a huge cliffy and I was bummed, but have no fear cuz the next book gives some answers.

Okay so this is not the first book I have read of J.C. Valentine but it is by far my favorite. This one had me on the edge of my seat waiting and guessing what was going to happen next and that something next was huge.
The main character "Jo" has a secret, one she can't share with anyone else without destroying peoples lives. However Jo doesn't realize how big or devastating her secrets are until the end. What secrets you ask? I suggest you read "Dance for Me" to find out.
And just a heads up this one does end on a cliffhanger but is definitely worth the read. I'm anxiously awaiting the second book to find out what happens next.

Dance for Me is like a train wreck waiting to happen. As you read about Joe's antics and her life, her work and school relationships you can see what's happening. You can almost feel it yourself, you want to scream at Joe, but know she won't hear.
I sat and read this in 1 sitting, it literally pulled me in and didn't let go. I love the other character's in this book too and not just Ransom as hot and cool as he is.
I've already for book 2 sitting in my library and don't have any notions of where this is going to go. I know Joe's going to have an interesting adventure here on out. As much as I want to shout at her for being so stupid, I can't help but feel I may have done the same things too. 4 stars!

WOW!!! What I just read was something very exquisite!
The way the story is twisted is something you don't read very often, because there's twists after twists and you cant seem to know how this would end... you wont believe it will end the way it does...
This book is very erotic, engaging and will keep you on the edge for sure, wanting more.
I don't want to spoil the story so I will keep this as it is.
Cant wait for #2... seriously... I need the next book ASAP!!

Holy cliffhangers Batman!!! I literally could not put this book down and I cannot wait for the second book! The last 20 or so pages of this book definitely took me for a wild ride and they just left me so shocked and wanting to read more! I would have thought there would have been a love triangle between Joe, Ransom, and Brody but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought of the cliffhanger that JC ended the book with! Great book overall and I would highly recommend it!!!

Wow!!! This book is nothing what I thought it would be like. Jo (pussycat) is a dancer who also is going to school. She has a best friend named Annie who she is in art class with.
Jo had a mysterious man she met because of her job. Only to find out he will be in her life more without her planning it. The complication only intensifies when she gets further involved with her teacher Ransom. There is one huge twist to this story!!!! I cannot wait until the next book!

HOLY CLIFFHANGERS!! This book was AMAZING! I mean seriously who doesn't love naughty teachers and sexy strippers. Really that should be enough to get you to read, but if you are not sold just yet, it's has twists and turns all along the way!! This is a college romance done right!! I am more then honored to have ARC'd this book! It was a great read.. but I am READY FOR BOOK TWO ALREADY!
