The Future of Compute Review explores the UK’s compute needs over the next decade and provides recommendations to spur growth and secure the UK’s status as a science and technology superpower.
The review’s vision seeks to unlock the potential of compute for the UK, placing it as a global actor with a competitive compute ecosystem. This requires a holistic package of action, including a strategic vision and national coordination, to provide:
- long-term direction
- investment in world-class sustainable compute capabilities (including immediate investment in the pathway to exascale and increased capacity) to power our world-leading AI ecosystem
- support to the compute community through skills development and international partnerships
