Wednesday 24 February 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 (CET)
Online event, invitation via Teams/Zoom

The webinar is free of charge but requires a registration, see more in the invitation here

Køge Nord Station is a new pedestrian bridge and station crossing the new high-speed railway line between Copenhagen and Ringsted as well as the S-train (urban rail) line to Køge and the M10 motorway.

Køge Nord is the most recent railway station project in Denmark. Furthermore, it is a landmark for both the new high-speed railway project for the owner, Banedanmark, and also for the Municipality of Køge, which has provided the development area.

The station will become the new traffic hub in the Greater Copenhagen area, making it possible for commuters to interchange between cars, trains and busses assisted by the adjacent Park and Ride facility. The station will thereby reduce traffic congestion in the inner city of Copenhagen and upgrade public transportation with the additional benefit of reducing CO2 emissions.

In this webinar, we will present the Køge Nord Station project starting with the initial Architectural Competition, via the Design and Procurement Process followed up by the Construction Process leading to the Inauguration in 2019 by his Royal Highness, Crown Prince Frederik.

Køge Nord Station won IABSE Denmark's Structural Award in 2019.

The presentation will be in English. At the end of the presentation there will be a Q&A session.
