I make sculpture. Sculpture is like having a conversation at a party where the music is so loud you can’t hear what anyone’s saying- so you have to do mime and make exaggerated movements to be understood. Then I wait and listen to see what the materials are trying to say back. None of this happens using language, it’s more about being bodies together in space. I feel lucky and crazy that I’m a body among other bodies in a world where economics, aspirations and communications zip about like invisible ghosts.
