Story
CAFOD works with local partners and communities across the world - responding to emergencies, promoting long-term development and raising public awareness of the causes of poverty.
During June we are challenging everyone to ‘pledge’ a series of activities based on the number 21 and raise money for a cause that was close to Anthony’s heart, refugees.
The Channel crossing, increasingly being made by those seeking safety in Britain, is 21 miles. So we are challenging staff and students to run, walk, swim, cycle 21 miles or multiples of that amount e.g. 2x’s – 42 miles etc.
If you don’t fancy walking or running maybe there is an activity you can challenge yourself to do 21 times.
You can do this individually or in a team, pledging as many miles as you want.
To get involved we are asking that you make a donation e.g. £5 or whatever you feel like giving. If you would also like to raise money through sponsorship, this would, of course, be welcomed and gratefully received.
Thank you for supporting this cause.
