All Age Groups
All practices during the week will be held at Arbutus Elementary or Halethorpe Civic fields. All age groups will play on Saturday and potentially one day during the week depending on the number of teams that register and will not be known until Mid-Late March. Games will start on or about April 13th and the season will end around June 12th.
What Equipment do I need for Softball?
In all age groups we recommend softball cleats (plastic). You will need to purchase a softball glove appropriate for your child’s hand and a batting helmet (NOCSE) with a face mask and chin strap. There is no need to purchase a bat unless you want to. If you do purchase a bat, please make sure it is a “USSSA” certified fast-pitch bat.
How Can I Help?
We are actively seeking Commissioners, Communication, Equipment & Maintenance and Event League Volunteers. We also have openings for experienced coaches and assistants. Please complete the on-line background check and coach application.
NO Jewelry Policy
AGAA plays under ASA guidelines which has a no jewelry policy. We appreciate your assistance in keeping this policy in mind as you head to the fields. The umpires are required to eject players that are wearing jewelry and we’d hate to see that happen to any player, so please be mindful of this rule when you come to the fields for games and practice.
