Burgos, Spain, has been a Bridgestone home since 1967. This year, we've celebrated two landmark investments that will take our presence in the region into a new era. Our €207 million funding – one of Bridgestone's largest in Europe to date – will elevate tyre manufacturing in Burgos to new levels of excellence and sustainability. By modernising our processes and technologies, it’s estimated that the investment will save approximately 2,000 tonnes of CO2 by 2030. We've also introduced Tizona, our new smart logistics facility for tyre storage in Burgos. Spanning over 44,500 square meters – and capable of storing more than 800,000 tyres – Tizona is now one of Bridgestone’s most significant logistics centres in Europe. Through our work at Burgos, and much more across EMEA, we're furthering our commitment to innovation, quality and a positive environmental impact.

We recently attended the latest careers event from Top Women Tech and Careers International. The event in Brussels provided a crucial platform for women working in IT and engineering across Europe to connect with companies that are advocating for greater gender diversity in technical roles And it also provided an opportunity for us to showcase life at Bridgestone to our future female tech leaders and innovators! Bridgestone has once again been named to the prominent Supplier Engagement Leader list by global environmental non-profit CDP – the sixth time Bridgestone has been included with the top ‘A’ rating. The Supplier Engagement Rating analyses companies based on climate change prevention and CO2 emission reduction activities across the supply chain. Our continued inclusion in the CDP Supplier Engagement Leader is strong recognition of Bridgestone's sustainable initiatives to create long-term environmental, social and economic benefits where we operate. After we recently announced Bridgestone's inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series for the sixth consecutive year, this latest news is again testament to the progress made on our sustainability journey and the importance of our corporate commitment, the Bridgestone E8 Commitment. Webfleet's OEM.connect programme makes it far easier for businesses to leverage telematics data – reducing costs, encouraging safer, more sustainable driving and maximising fleet performance. And those same benefits can now be enjoyed by electric fleets, with Webfleet recently extended OEM.connect to support electric vehicles. Businesses with EVs can now also access additional data insights on charging time, driving range, current battery status, energy consumption and more – empowering Webfleet users to get more out of their electric or mixed fleets. As a first step, Webfleet is growing its long-term partnership with Mercedes-Benz Connectivity Services GmbH, which means that businesses with electric Mercedes-Benz cars or vans in the European countries where Webfleet is present are the first to benefit from this expansion.
