Barry Gardiner MP is absolutely right here in yesterday’s EFRA committee session, where he highlighted the adverse effects of UK-wide #NotforEU labelling on the food and drink manufacturing sector. This unnecessary policy will do nothing to smooth trade within the UK market, and is yet another example burdensome regulation falling onto industry We call on the government to reconsider this costly policy and work with the industry and the wider supply chain on an alternative solution. We appreciate Barry raising this very important issue.
