The family of the late Mary Petrie have made a generous donation to ensure the garden at Balgonie ward at Cameron Hospital is blooming marvellous. Mary's family were so grateful for the care provided that they decided to have a collection at her funeral to put towards garden supplies. Over £400 they raised was used by them to buy flowers, plant pots, seeds and compost for use in Balgonie's garden for other patients to enjoy during their stay. Vicki Black, senior charge nurse, said: "We are so thankful for the donation - Mary's family thought of everything we need. This will enhance our garden here and make sure staff and patients can enjoy the outdoor space too. Mary's family also gave staff a bag of treats to enjoy during their tea break, which was very thoughtful of them. We'd like to say thanks to them for their generosity."

Tarvit ward staff at Adamson Hospital in Cupar were delighted to receive an impressive donation of £2000 recently. The money was raised by Paul Watson, who completed the Middlesbrough half marathon in March. He ran it to raise money to say thank you to Tarvit staff for the care and support they gave his dad Brian Watson whilst he was an inpatient and for the work they did in facilitating his safe discharge home. Helen Caithness, senior charge nurse, said: "We were surprised but delighted to receive the donation from Paul. It's a real recognition for our staff of the hard work they do for people who come into the ward and we really appreciate Paul's amazing fundraising efforts."
