🏛 The PRA recently released its 2024/25 business plan, below are some of the key highlights. 👉 Basel 3.1: The PRA will intensify its supervisory scrutiny on firms' implementation plans alongside finalizing Basel 3.1 rules. 👉 Liquidity Risk Management: The PRA will sustain its vigilant supervision of firms' liquidity and funding risks, leveraging its Liquidity Supervisory Review and Evaluation Processes (L-SREPs) to assess and mitigate these risks effectively. 👉 Credit Risk Management: The PRA will closely monitor changes in firms' business mix and credit exposures, focusing on vulnerable segments such as cyclical sectors, key international portfolios, and high-risk portfolios like buy-to-let, credit cards, and leveraged lending. Counterparty credit risk, especially exposures to Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI), will remain a key area of supervisory attention. 👉 Capital: Following the finalization of Basel 3.1 rules, the PRA intends to review its Pillar 2A methodologies for banks, aiming to propose any necessary changes by 2025 after consultation. 👉 Operational Resilience: The PRA will continue collaborating with the FCA to assess firms' progress in operational resilience, ensuring their ability to deliver crucial business services within defined impact tolerances during severe yet plausible scenarios by March 2025. 👉 Diversity and Inclusion: Building on CP18/23 published in September 2023, the PRA will engage with the industry, evaluate responses, and provide updates on D&I initiatives in due course. 👉 Overseas Bank Branches: The PRA will consult on refining its approach to banks branching into the UK to incorporate lessons learned, ensuring the jurisdiction remains open while clarifying expectations for group entity senior manager functions and booking arrangements. 👉 Climate Risk: Collaborating with the FCA through the Climate Financial Risk Forum, the PRA will assist financial firms in integrating climate-related risks into their operations and contribute to the development of international frameworks. 👉 AI/ML: Continuously monitoring firms' compliance with expectations outlined in SS1/23, the PRA will explore updates as necessary. 👉 Strong and Simple (SDDT): The PRA will consult on a simplified capital regime for SDDTs in 2024 Q2, alongside other measures. 👉 SM&CR: With significant stakeholder interest, the PRA, in collaboration with FCA and HMT, will consider potential reforms to the Senior Managers & Certification Regime, intending to consult on proposed changes in 2024 H1. 👉 TDC: Advancing its TDC program, the PRA aims to enhance its data and tools for rapid issue identification and probe integration, while streamlining data collection to alleviate burdens on firms.   To read the business plan in full please follow the link below https://lnkd.in/eg9-mafZ #Regulation #RegTech
