Fantastic to see!!
Hugely satisfying to see SmartSocks™ Sherlock kits leaving Bristol for evaluation by the UK Dementia Research Institute. We’ll soon be shipping kits to universities, care providers, and local authorities. This momentous milestone is the culmination of many months of hard work by the Milbotix team and our subcontractors. Sherlock is a hugely technical undertaking spanning electronics and product design, textiles, apps and back-end development, signal processing, artificial intelligence, firmware, and more. We’d like to say a big THANK YOU to: ✨ Our funders, including Alzheimer's Society, Innovate UK, West of England Combined Authority, University of the West of England, University of Bristol, Santander X , UnLtd, European Regional Development Fund, and a certain investor who wishes to remain anonymous. You made this milestone possible. ✨ Those who’ve contributed to the development of Sherlock, including Unimedia Technology, Ignitec, Footfalls and Heartbeats (UK) Limited, RIFBristol, University of the West of England's Health Tech Hub, SYNTACOG LTD, and others. ✨ Our many champions and advisors at Conception X, SETsquared Bristol, SETsquared Partnership, Innovate UK EDGE South East, and elsewhere. Your support has been amazing. We look forward to launching the retail version of SmartSocks in the New Year, incorporating numerous refinements, and addressing feedback on Sherlock. -- Did you know we’re raising investment? £850k in Innovate UK grants are waiting to be unlocked by £500k in match funding, with £260k committed so far. Last week we took part in International Conference for Robotics and Automation 2023 (ICRA), where the Bristol Robotics Laboratory team presented the BRL stand to over 6000 conference attendees. We wanted to extend our deepest 'thank you' to everyone who has supported us in making this happen. This includes our support staff, researchers, as well as our PhD students acting as BRL ambassadors. Over the course course of the 4 days, we have interacted with over 500 people from all around the world. If you have visited our stand – thank you, we really appreciate the time you have given us. Please enjoy some highlights from the conference and stay tuned for the official release of our new BRL videos. #icra2023 #brlatICRA #robotics #bristol #exhibition #team #research #collaboration #london #tech #robots #automation #phd #students #people #thankyou
