Currently the ZEISS Natural Resources User Group Meeting 2024 takes place in China! 🔬🌏⛰ This year, we are fortunate to be hosted by the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.   Since yesterday, participants have the opportunity to present their research, establish new contacts and share experiences about microscopy workflows, successes and challenges.   Today we are looking forward to another day with an exciting range of talks on research in the fields of geology, mining and the oil and gas industry!

With the software module ZEISS Spectral RICS, we are releasing a new solution for understanding molecular dynamics of your living samples. In addition to obtaining structural image information of your sample, unveil how proteins of interest move and interact in relation to their position within the cell. Developed in collaboration with Jelle Hendrix (UHasselt, Belgium), Spectral RICS combines LSM imaging with information about the behavior of proteins in their cellular environment. This integrated approach facilitates the identification of regions exhibiting diverse molecular characteristics. Uniquely, through spectral unmixing, Spectral RICS provides an optimal foundation for investigating protein-protein binding behavior. ZEISS Invited Talks at FCMN! Don’t miss the two invited ZEISS presentations at the 2024 International Conference on Frontiers of Characterization and Metrology for Nanoelectronics (FCMN) on Wednesday, April 17. The first presentation titled “Advances in the Use of AI for X-ray Reconstruction: Applications in Electronics Packaging” by Matthew Andrew will discuss how ZEISS AI-powered high-resolution imaging techniques are transforming failure analysis, reliability testing, and advanced packaging development.   The second presentation, “3D Metrology and Inspection of Advanced NAND and DRAM Devices Via Full 3D Characterization with FIB-SEM Tomography” by Eugen Foca, will describe how ZEISS 3D metrology and inspection solutions provide high resolution imaging with unparalleled precision and allows for the extraction of nearly all key parameters relevant for process development and process control.   Visit our booth and learn more about these and other exciting developments! Spring is coming! 🐞🔬🌷 To capture this application image, fresh beetle forelegs were transferred to glycerine ≥99.5%, free of water, two times distilled and mounted using high-precision cover slips. The presence and the distribution of four different autofluorescences within the second adhesive pad of the legs were analyzed using the confocal laser scanning microscope Zeiss LSM 700 and four solid-state lasers. A longpass emission filter transmitting light with wavelengths ≥640 nm was used to detect the autofluorescence excited by 639 nm.
