As part of my day job, I was tasked with speaking directly to university equipment managers to see how we can support the Government’s rapidly developing CV19 test facility, and to help ensure they have sufficient quantities of reagents and equipment. We know there is also a shortage of PPE in hospitals, to support frontline nurses, doctors and healthcare staff. For a sign of just how people are pulling together globally, and the charity, generosity and wonder of the Cambridge alumni network, alumni of #ismm44 put me in touch with a fellow alumni with whom it was wonderful to reconnect. Her family are associated with the manufacture of PPE and other equipment in China and are going above and beyond to help us here in the UK in our moment of need. To join the coordinated response for equipment and PPE, please follow the link in the click-through below. You can also email Covid-response@cam.ac.uk. To witness the support and collaborative efforts of people pulling together is truly awe-inspiring. #staysafe #staystrong #pullingtogether #coronavirus #cv19 #ismm #ismm44 #cambridgenetwork #wolfson #wolfsoncollege #wolfsoncollagecambridge https://lnkd.in/eBcbzKM
