LIHNN's annual Christmas Study Day is back in person for 2022. Our usual programme of Service Development Awards, minutes of mayhem, guest speakers, and quizzing will be on offer.

11:15-12:00 Minutes of mayhem

  • Minutes of mayhem - 3 minutes maximum
    • Recording and sharing Quality Improvement work (Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS FT, Tracy Dixon)
    • Creating profiles of our users in paramedic medicine (LKS Ambulance Service, Matt Holland)
    • Working with Health and Wellbeing (St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Yvonne Stubbington)
    • Creating two library training videos (Wirral University Teaching Hospital FT, Jacqueline Pearce)

  • Andrew Cox (Information School, University of Sheffield) Artificial intelligence: what it means for the work of the librarian

Andrew is a senior lecturer at the Information School, University of Sheffield, a leading centre of research and teaching in library, information and data science. His main research area has been around the response of the information professions to contemporary societal challenges such as new technologies, increasing managerialism, datafication, changing conceptualisations of learning and a perceived crisis of well-being.
