ABOUT

The Music against Child Labour Initiative, which was launched in 2013 by the International Labour Organization (ILO) together with some of the world’s greatest musicians and a number of important international music organizations, calls on musicians worldwide to dedicate a concert or song to the struggle against child labour.

Every year we call on the global music community to join us in raising awareness about child labour and about the value of music and arts education in combating it by either dedicating a concert to the cause or a song.

The aims of the Music Initiative are set out in the Music against Child Labour Initiative’s Manifesto.

The SCREAM:

Music Module

Implement a music education programme that addresses child labour while having fun through music-making!

SCREAM (Supporting Children's Rights through Education, the Arts and Media) is a series of training modules that enable educators to address issues surrounding child labour with their students and communities. Designed by the ILO, working hand in hand with the global teachers union movements.

The SCREAM Music Module is now freely available for educators to download and start using.
