Muslims in Public Policy

Inspiring & connecting current and future public policy professionals

What We Do

We provide development opportunities by providing access to public policy professionals working in the Civil Service (central government), Local Authorities (local government) and arms-length bodies. We also seek to provide opportunities to strengthen networking and shared learning within the current public policy workforce.

Why We Do It

As Muslims, public service and helping others is an act of piety. Public policy institutions are critical in shaping our everyday life and seek to benefit citizens through essential public services. It functions best when its workforce reflects the diversity of the country as a whole. Data from the 2021 Census shows both Muslim and ethnically diverse populations are increasing (6.5% and 18.3% respectively), and public policy functions best when its workforce reflects the UK’s diversity as a whole.
