About Wireless Cottage

These remote Cornish cliff-tops were once used for ground-breaking wireless communication experiments. Now they provide an unforgettable holiday experience. Stay in this Grade II-listed wireless station, built in 1900 by pioneering inventor Guglielmo Marconi, and you’ll be far-flung on the most southerly point of the UK. The evocative wood-cladded building faces south, with wide views over the springy, rabbit-cropped turf to the shimmering ocean. Inside the one-bedroom, cabin-like cottage reveals a cosy nook from which to shelter from the Atlantic gales and snuggle against its log burner-effect electric fire.

Wireless Cottage is set just 100 yards back from the cliffs, with the coastal path practically running straight past your door. Walk just 30 minutes along the path to Lizard Point. Walk a little further around the peninsula to gaze upon the aqua waters of Kynance Cove.

There are many beaches to explore on the Lizard, but if you fancy a change of scenery the pretty harbour town of Falmouth is 25 miles from the cottage. Located on the Fal estuary, they’ll be an abundance of stunning coastal views as well as an array of shops and restaurants.
