Science workshops in the heritage language of migrant children and scientists

Problem
Native Scientist explores the Origin of the Universe at Dynamic Earth_edited.jpg

According to EU & UN reports, migrant children are on average twice as likely to underachieve in science than their non-migrant peers.

It doesn’t have to be like this!

Solution

What we do

We take scientists to local school across Europe to carry out unique and dynamic science and language workshops with children of the same cultural background.

We do it to broaden the horizons of children, promote scientific literacy and higher education, and foster language development.

Unique Features

Key features
of the workshops

Science Tapas

Children get to "taste" different fields of science and all fields are welcome!

Speed-dating Format

Children are divided into groups and interact with several scientists in a single workshop

Integrated Learning

Children talk about science in their heritage language during the workshop
