Book the registrar for your marriage or civil partnership ceremony
We advise you to read the information on the step by step guide, ceremonies and give notice pages before proceeding with your booking.
Saturdays in the summer are the most popular ceremony slots, so we encourage you to book as early as possible for these dates.
The system shows all available dates and times for ceremonies. If the time you are looking to book is not showing it's because there is no availability. You will need to choose another available time or date.
We are accepting bookings via the online booking system until the end of 2025. We can take bookings for 2026 with a £200 reservation fee, however please note that final fees are not yet set, they will be set by April 2024 at the latest. We look forward to receiving your booking and helping you celebrate in Norfolk.
Approved venue bookings
Once you have selected your venue, date and time please go ahead and confirm your booking. If you click the back button at any point, your ceremony may show as unavailable when you go to select it again. If this happens please wait for a little while, go back into the system and try again.
This booking is just for the registrars to attend your ceremony, it is not a booking for the venue as well. You must speak to your chosen venue first to discuss their availability and fees, then make sure a registrar will be available before you confirm the booking with your venue.
Norwich Castle and other ceremony rooms
You can book a ceremony at Norwich Castle and at some of our other ceremony rooms such as The Vancouver Suite in our King's Lynn registration office using our online booking system.

Small ceremonies in working registration offices
These ceremonies are offered from our offices in Great Yarmouth, King's Lynn and Norwich, on Monday mornings. You will need to select either 'Great Yarmouth Registration Office', 'King's Lynn Registration Office' or 'Norfolk Register Office Norwich County Hall' from the drop down list of venues.
These ceremonies are only for the couple and two witnesses to attend. A standard ceremony script will be delivered with no option to personalise your ceremony.
Small ceremonies in a working registration office are bookable online. The online system shows all the availability we have for these ceremonies. They are in high demand and are typically booked a year in advance, please bear this in mind when looking for dates. Please do not message asking for an earlier date as this will not be possible, unless you need a ceremony under exceptional circumstances.
