DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - To the surprise of no one, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he's sticking with Dak Prescott as his quarterback of the future despite the team potentially having a chance to draft Clemson's Trevor Lawrence or Ohio State's Justin Fields.

Jones was asked Tuesday morning on Shan and RJ if "it's crazy" to bring up the idea of taking a quarterback with a high first-round pick?

"Yes, you ask me if it's crazy to bring the idea up? And I've answered it, yes. It's not the thing to be talking about at all. Dak is our quarterback."

Jerry's words mirror the comments his son Stephen made to the media on Monday.

"Dak's our quarterback. We're so fired up about him and leading us into the future. ... We're fired up about our future with Dak," Jones said, dismissing the idea of replacing Prescott with a rookie signal-caller.

If the season ended today, the Cowboys would own the third overall pick in the draft.
