South African paint imports are set to fall by 7.9% year-on-year to 404.1 million kilograms by 2026. This is down from 640.4 million kilograms in 2021. Since 2005, demand for paint in South Africa has grown by 260.4%. South African paint exports also saw a decrease in 2018, dropping by 19% from the year before to 203.5 thousand kilograms. Since 2005, paint exports have decreased by 73.6%. South Africa was the 28th biggest exporter of paint in 2018, with Belarus taking the top spot. The Czech Republic, Germany, and Indonesia followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
