We know that with the right support, at the right time, people with mental health needs can thrive in their community. We also know that getting the right support at the right time doesn’t always happen; it can be a confusing and long-winded process.

Open Mental Health is a Somerset alliance of local voluntary organisations, the NHS and social care. We are working in partnership to ensure that residents of Somerset get the support they need, when they need it.

Lots of things can impact our mental health. We have come together to provide 24/7 support to adults in Somerset. Whatever the worry - anxiety, debt, employment, housing, low mood, addiction - we're here to help.

Open Mental Health supports people to live a full life by enabling access to specialist mental health support, debt and employment advice, volunteering opportunities, community activities, and exercise.

Our service is available to adults in Somerset who are experiencing mental health problems. The organisations in the alliance form part of a wider ecosystem of mental health and wellbeing support across somerset. By working in partnership, we want to ensure that there is 'no wrong door' for anyone who needs help.

Anybody who is in need of mental health support can call Mindline Somerset on 0800 138 1692 (freephone) or 01823 276892 (local call rate) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or email SUPPORT@OPENMENTALHEALTH.ORG.UK.

Open Mental Health has been shortlisted for the acclaimed Health Service Journal (HSJ) Value awards 2021 in the category of ‘public and preventative health service redesign initiative’. Read the full press release.
