KRINKO recommendation: Hygiene requirements for cleaning and disinfection of surfaces

In Germany, the requirements for hygiene in the healthcare sector are published as recommendations by the Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention (KRINKO). The KRINKO and its voluntary work are legally anchored in §23 of the German Protection against Infection Act. The original German version of the recommendation "Hygiene requirements for cleaning and disinfection of surfaces" was published in the Bundesgesundheitsblatt in October 2022. The English translation has now been published in the journal "GMS Hygiene and Infection Control" and thus made available to the international professional public.
