This Contract will be awarded as a Concessions Contract.

Cadw is the Welsh Government’s historic environment service working for an accessible and well protected historic environment for Wales. In order to support this work Cadw operates a range of commercial activities including a number of premium short-term holiday let properties across Wales.

Cadw has a portfolio of properties available to let as self-catering holiday accommodation which serve as an important income stream for Cadw and its vital work.

Cadw wishes to appoint experienced self-catering accommodation letting agent, to market and manage all aspects of the booking process and day-to-day operational management of the holiday properties.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The Cadw holiday let properties in North Wales (of which this contract - Lot 1 relates) currently consists of the Harlech Castle Apartments. These are 5 one bedroom, luxury apartments, located above the Harlech Castle Visitor Centre, at Harlech Castle, in Harlech, Gwynedd.

The Cadw holiday let properties in South Wales (of which this contract - Lot 2 relates) currently consists of three cottages:

1) Beaufort Cottage – 1 bedroom luxury cottage in the grounds of Tintern Abbey

2) Tretower Cottage – 2 bed cottage adjacent to Tretower Court

3) Crown Cottage – 2 bed cottage adjacent to White Castle, Abergavenny

The estimated gross total rental income for both regions is £880k for 6 years.

Lot 1 North Wales -£490,000 over 6 years

Lot 2 South Wales - £390,000 over 6 years

This Contract will be awarded as a Concessions Contract. The duration of the Contract will be an initial 3 years and optional years 4, 5 and 6, decision on the optional extension will be made on an annual basis.
