As the world is becoming more and more digital, socio-economic opportunities are increasingly shifting to the online world. Children who grow up in care or from less advantaged backgrounds face challenges, as they often lack family networks and connections that help transition to self-reliance.
The YouthLinks Community has been established as SOS Children’s Villages central digital platform to connect young people with care experience to training, mentoring and participatory opportunities.
The platform currently reaches more than 3.700 people in more than 90 countries around the world – with user numbers quickly increasing. Some additional key statistics:
+ 195,000 page views
+ 30,000 networking interactions
+ 400 safe mentoring relationships
Keeping young people safe online is our highest priority! In the YouthLinks Community, we meet high safeguarding standards, including data security and privacy.
