The London Borough of Ealing (LBE) has secured funding from Transport for London under its Liveable Neighbourhoods (LN) Programme to transform the area and provide a healthier environment for residents and visitors to the town.
As part of Live West Ealing, a programme that will transform Broadway and the streets around it, LBE has commissioned Retail Revival Ltd to undertake research to understand how businesses in West Ealing receive and distribute goods and services.
We would like to reduce the impact of freight and servicing across the area; the subsequent benefits include improved air quality, reduced congestion and highway safety. Reduced freight traffic can also provide an opportunity to improve the streetscape, which Department for Transport research shows can boost retail footfall by about a third and retail spend by 20-40%
