Nicola Sturgeon will next week unveil a proposal for an independent Scotland with a “scene setter” of her vision for life outside the United Kingdom.
The document, which is expected to be published in the early part of the week, will be the first in a series of papers prepared by civil servants under the direction of the first minister and Angus Robertson, the constitution secretary, as they try to make the case for a second referendum.
At least one other publication is expected before Holyrood rises for summer recess on June 30.
