Of course, feel free to tell all of your friends about the SU elections but if you know someone who would be a great candidate, with the drive and ideas to lead change, let us know by submitting the quick form below. We will then contact them to say that someone thinks they would make an excellent officer, conveyor or NUS Conference delegate. We'll send them some further information so they can make up their own minds. It's up to you whether you want to tell them it was you who recommended them or not!
We aim to increase the number and diversity of students standing for different positions. This is really important, as it keeps the Union democratic and ensures that we are relevant to all students. We really want to attract more Postgraduate students, more female students, more mature and part-time students and more international students to stand for positions. So if you know a female international student who you think would be fantastic as a member of the Trustee Board, or as the next full-time officer let her know about the elections, and that training and support are available from the SU. Don’t forget to mention that the Sabbatical Officer positions are paid!
