Mariah Carey reveals her favorite line in 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' in new Amazon doc

Mariah Carey loves Christmas so much that producer and former "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson says he used to call her “Mariah Claus.”

We call her the singer of our favorite Christmas song, which we learn more about in “Mariah Carey is Christmas: The Story of ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’” a mini-doc starring Carey, Jackson and a host of music insiders that was released today from Amazon Music.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” celebrates its 25th anniversary this year – arguably it’s best yet. The ubiquitous holiday anthem has already reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, matching the peak position reached in 2018.

Amazon’s 11-minute retrospective features Carey lounging effortlessly on a white couch surrounded by holiday decorations. She talks about having “It’s a Wonderful Life” playing in background as she wrote the instant classic, and how her favorite line in song is “I won’t even wish for snow” because “I always wish for snow.”

The doc explores the song’s unlikely rise, current worldwide popularity and place in popular culture. It also asks the question, “Will this be the year it finally hits No. 1?”

"I would be thrilled," Carey told USA TODAY in November. "I wanted it to feel like a classic, but I didn't know that it was going to actually become a classic. I say that humbly because Christmas music is something that's really special to me, so to see the song's popularity grow over the years has been something that's been kind of amazing. I couldn't have expected it."
