ENGAGE.EU study offerings

About

Gain international experience without leaving home!

Together with its partners in the ENGAGE.EU alliance (Hanken University, LUISS University, NHH Norwegian School of Economics, Ramon Llull University, Tilburg University, Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, University of Mannheim, University of National and World Economy), WU offers several study opportunities. Students from above mentioned WU partner universities can apply for a range of single shared courses offered by WU and also a shared module. All courses will be held online or in hybid mode. As a participant, you will be part of a virtual and international classroom and will benefit from international learning opportunities with students from different countries!

Academic program

Students have the option to complete a Shared Module at WU or choose 1-2 singe shared courses of the Online Exchange Initiative. Single shared courses and the courses of the module are held between the beginning of March and the end of June for summer semester and between October and the Christmas break in December for winter semester. Note that each course has its own individual schedule. WU courses are typically seminar-type with continuous assessment. This means that your final grade is based on several performance elements: active participation in the course, home assignments, case studies, and final exam. WU does not have a central examination period. The specific grading criteria are listed in the course description.

  • Please note that spots per course and module are limited.

  • Make sure you read the syllabus thoroughly as it contains information on live online sessions, the schedule and course requirements.

  • At WU, it is mandatory to attend all course meetings (possible exceptions are listed in the syllabus), the meetings are not recorded.

  • Please make sure to adhere to WU's virtual classroom policy and ensure that your camera and microphone are fully functioning.

  • At the end of your virtual exchange, you will receive an official transcipt of records from WU and an ENGAGE certificate. For credit transfer options, please check with your home institution.

Administrative fee

The administrative fee of €22.70 (mandatory students’ union dues) must be paid for attendance of courses at WU Vienna. Apart from this amount, no other fees will be charged. Tuition fees for participating students of this initiative are waived. Please note that you have to bear the costs for reading materials and literature if a course requires the like.
